Black&White+One Quilt Challenge
Quilters were invited to interpret the Tenth Triennial Gathering theme, All Anew, in a 40" square quilt, using only black and white fabric plus one additional color. Here you'll find the quilts entered into the challenge. Each photo includes a caption written by the quilter.

Now the green blade rises by Amy Jackson Keyworth, Raleigh, NC
When I made my random width gradients and laid them out, I discovered the "rising sun" effect with the white blocks rising and falling. And there was one expression of "all anew," as the rising sun ushers in each new day. The spring green color shows the earth bursting forth with new growth. This quilt is "all anew" for me, as it is the first quilt that I designed and completed on my own.
